Iren finished art school in her early teens and although being passionate about art, she chose to become a doctor instead, striving to help people. Having worked as a general practitioner doctor for more than 20 years, she returned to her first passion – art and creativity. Now in the turbulent world of the pandemic and its impact on medical professionals, she finds refuge in creating artwork inspired by the most beautiful places on our planet. “I try to find beauty in nature and to see beauty in simple things. For example, looking at the artwork depicting the sun setting over Venice, you can feel a warmth coming from the lanterns shining bright. Or the sun sparkling on the sea, or the wind you feel blowing in your face on the artwork depicting winter Mediterranean seacoast. My artworks are very bright. Sometimes people say they are too bright and far from reality, but this is how I see it. To see beauty in the world brings me happiness, but having a chance to put my admiration on canvas brings me purpose. I would like people having my artworks to feel happy looking at them as much I was happy to create them”. Although having done artworks in watercolours, Iren preferred style is oil and palette knife. With bright and colourful landscape artworks Iren considers herself a contemporary impressionist.
