Who inspired this work? I would say every woman! My work is figurative and colorful and I tend to focus on women.....particularly their faces............their eyes. Expressions speak volumes and there are stories to be told and to be heard. When looking at this piece I want the viewer to write their own story. Her gaze is soulful and penetrating. What is her background? What has she been through? And above all else, what is she not saying. There are many layers of colors applied to this artwork. Some with brushes and some by hand.......simply rubbed into the substrate. This painting has been varnished for protection and a modern appearance and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
