About The Artwork

This work in four parts depicts Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin taking leave of each other after a rendezvous in a film from 1966. The repetition of format and content alludes to the repetition of behaviour—Increasingly abstract, the works show us how our experiences lead us farther and farther from the reality we once knew. A new world is created—a parallel reality. It is at once mysterious, fascinating, arousing and curious, but is it real? What is real? In this piece, I've channeled vibrancy through oil and spray, crafting a pop art vision with a semi-abstract and futuristic lens. Here, the hues dance with emotion, telling a story beyond the familiar, beckoning viewers into a space where color and form collide. This artwork embodies not just a scene, but an experience, ready to energize your home with its dynamic presence.
