“Beachland" is a series of painting's inspired by the ocean, sunrises and sunsets of Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. With this particular series; as with all her paintings, the artist speaks to the fundamental human desire for serenity. To feel alive in a society when technology and commercialization are so pervasive, the artist enjoys creating a form of magical realism to generate worlds within worlds, attempting to tell a unique and interesting story within every piece created; by her undisputed talent. The Artist has no qualms about making changes or adding translucent layers to her work. "The painting has a life of its own and it will tell me when it's done!" The artist Jacqueline Robert-Choptuik, born in 1969, is based in Niverville Manitoba; and attended the University of Manitoba to study Fine Arts from 1989-92. Jacqueline's influences include Emelie Carr, the Group of Seven and Salvador Dali among many Inspiration for her paintings of the Canadian Rockies comes from having travelled across the breadth of Canada numerous times; in her previous life as a railway conductor. She is best known, by her audience of Private & Corporate Collectors; for her acrylic, glaze and coloured ink painting. Many of Jacqueline's commissioned works can be seen in a number of homes both nationally, in Canada; and internationally throughout the world. Throughout her 35 year career as an artist, Jacqueline has produced silk screen, intaglio and lithography prints; as well as glass art. For over a decade; indoor and outdoor murals were also her passion. Jacqueline's murals represented the heart and soul of their surroundings and their specific communities. All my paintings have this in common: captured emotions, memories, vibrant colors, auras, energy and light
