About The Artwork
Large format piece, made with acrylics, aerosol and industrial enamels on canvas. Due to its size, the work is shipped rolled, making it necessary to place it in a new frame when it arrives at its new home. The work is the second in a series in progress and is inspired by the abstract expressionism pieces of the 20th century, interspersed with a contemporary calligraphy pattern of my own authorship. This piece seeks to find a balance between the chaos caused by an explosion of paint and the almost obsessive order of the calligraphic pattern.
