My first painting similar to this work was titled ‘Projection’ and this minimalist style is also a conceptual abstract of mine. Seemingly simplistic, but not entirely and also easy on the eye with lively colours, with a subtle complimentary backdrop. It is also a play of light and shadow almost cognitive to each other, again complimentary. Simultaneously, the lively colour choice have a careful balance throughout, transcending to an almost calmness. The piece is also versatile in the sense that one would be able to turn it on the side as well from how it is presented and still keep a good perspective of the work. Taking a closer look, you may have noticed it is not signed on the front but on the back with this in mind, so it will not look odd at either angle. The choice could well depend on whether you are left or right-handed. The painting is mostly done by brush and very little colour pencil on a rectangular stretched canvas that has pins visible on the sides which is painted neatly all around in the same off-white colour of the front background. It does not need any framing, all with intention keeping in mind that is for a modern design.The concept is all in the balance and simplicity. I hope you like it and thanks for your interest. Zeal.
