Depending on the historical region of Ukraine, the details and themes of the embroidery ornament differ. And at the beginning of the 20th century, when the Ukrainian nation began to fight for its political rights, the "vyshyvanka" began to be used as patriotic and cult clothing, a symbol of Ukrainian identity. Slobozhanshchyna is a historical region in the north-east of Ukraine, bordering Erephy. This region was actively settled by Ukrainians in the 17th and 18th centuries, its name comes from the free settlements, whose residents were free for a long time and enjoyed various benefits. Various crafts and handicrafts were traditionally developed here, and a lively center of trade was formed. The largest cities of the region are Kharkiv and Sumy.
