ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Portrait of a woman. This is a bit different from the earlier painted portraits. I used a dark grey color (Payne's Grey) which is much more bluish than a shadow of greys. Then I painted the whole background with Titanium white. Then I used the wide brush technic, which blurred the white into the blue and vice versa. The whole painting is an interesting surface from close, also enjoyable from the right distance. Oil on canvas 75x65 cm Ships in a crate
