About The Artwork
Our roots are those of animals and nature, which permeate distant memories and behaviors. And in reality, they always run away. create new meanings and experiences. It is a circle. The will is like a runaway. draw a circle forever as if the things that existed did not exist. to get away In the process of being newly created, that is why everyone is so lonely. Art gives wings to the ridiculous, cruel and sad stories of reality. All those heavy things fly away. Just like Bergson's term, the living thing is intense present space and future space, like the universe. In that space, I have a constant conversation with myself. So, one work is their whole life. Every moment, who doesn't know when it will end or start, is living a precarious and beautiful day through their work. (June 21, 2023)

Su-Ok was born in Kwangju, South Korea and currently lives in Georgia, United States. She has received a Master degree in Graduate School of Fine Arts from Chonnam National University in South Korea in 2004. She also studied at Graduate School of Horticulture and Life Science for Ph. D Program in 2005. She had lectured several classes in Fine Arts, Theory of Aesthetics in regards to Philosophy in Fine Arts at Seoyeong University (previously known as “Sogang”), Dongshin University and Ewha university in South Korea until 2007. For her career as an Artist, she participated in both solo and group exhibition in Korea. She also has great passion in other forms of Arts. Loves music and held concerts as an alternative Indi-rock band singer song writer. Her art is deeply related to the music. In addition, she’s interested in Oriental Medicine. Her artworks are mainly about nature, humanity, healing and music. Her artistic influencers are artists like; G-DRAGON, LEE JUNG SEOP, Banksy, Bjork, Bonobo, Mew, Kendrick Lama, Yoko Ono, Stanley Donwood, Radiohead.
