These groups of dancers from Sparta are inspired by a painting by Camille Corot entitled Young Girls of Sparta. The idea is to reverse the hierarchy of the painting by removing the main character, the queen of Sparta, in order to keep and multiply the group of dancers who liven up the landscape in the background. Painted quickly, in the cool, at the first, instinctively.
