Spotted something similar is a fun and lively painting with a parakeet who is doing his best to try and reach a tulip which happenns to be very similar in colouring to him I love the way parakeets are so cheeky. This painting is created using a redactive method which allows the underpainting to shine through and brings a luminosity to the image. The dots on the table cloth are created with sgraffito, by scratching through the paint to revel the layer beneath. The picutre is painted on board which is ready to frame or, as the edges are painted, the board can be prepared using sticky hangers to hang as it is.
