The Prince Gong Mansion is one of the most exquisite and best-preserved imperial mansions in Beijing, which dates back to 1777 during the Qing dynasty. This painting is a studio work inspired by the charm and tranquility of its royal garden when I was strolling through it with my father in spring 2008. The light sweet smelling of Chinese Lilac is unforgettable. Oil on canvas.
