About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by early 19th Century Russian works with a blend of French impressionism in a bold application of color and balance. With an emphasis in a structural features of trees, the colors play around this rigid framework to emulate the changing scenes between spring and autumn. The subject matter was chosen from my early exposure to Russian Landscape paintings in the 19th century and an admiration of abstract and impressionism art.
