A lovely bright watercolor about the summer in the North: poppy fields, wheat fields, cornflowers, cerulean blue sky and rapeseed are all signs of summer to me and remind me of the wonderful old gardens of my childhood... so I had to paint that summer day and the poppies all around me! You can see in the photos the original sketch in my sketchbook that was the source for this painting. 26x36 cm on professional Arches 300g watercolor paper, W&N and DS Watercolors used. The painting will come unframed, signed on the back (and front if you wish). (c) Gesa Reuter 2020 ATTENTION: I show some simple framing options just to give you an idea what the painting could look like framed and at the wall (size not always according to scale). A white, silver, black or grey frame would look great, the best will be to take it to the framers and discuss the size of mat and frame. If you need any advice on this, feel free to contact me! COLORS: Please be aware that monitors may show colors slightly different from reality, especially blues and greens. It is almost impossible to avoid that! SHIPPING: Please note, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination. I have no control over these charges and I cannot predict their amount. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
