About The Artwork

They meet in a specific place and time to discuss current topics in culture in society and in everyday life, as well as to relax and feel light-heartedness. Its a small dose of forgotten bohemians in today's fast-paced and tense world. The characters in this series of art works take place in a specific place and time. Through portrait painting, the personality of artists and people working in other fields and their desire for the ideals of a dreamy life and the idyll of a crypt are studied. The author is looking for common denominators with the artist, his emotional state of mind and the bohemian remnants in the historical section. The works of historically popular artists and their views on life are examined, which would reflect the dreamy ideals of life, as for Bohemians. It is the denial of bourgeois life, the knowledge of one's state of mind, and the search for the truth hidden in the subconscious and identity.

Painting for me is like idea about time and space, which mirrors reality. For me it’s like obsession for a need to tell a story or to free myself from panic and anxiety, it is like personal liberation from anxiety-inducing thoughts. I consider my paintings to be like a time stamp. In my work I document my own pain, emotions and thoughts that have been depressing me down. It’s like my own personal diary, which without shame, is wide open for anyone who is interested to read. It consists of parts that has made me as a person that I am today, therefore the viewers can find my old and forgotten scars, as well as fresh wounds that have not jet healed. Occasionally using symbolism and mysterious puzzles, I call the viewers for a comfortable conversation and common laughter of the awkward attempts to become better in term- life. I am my own strict critic. I always try to raise my self made bar higher. I try to improve my art everyday, and sometimes there is never enough. I love to have a good laugh about myself, about my fears and failures, but all in all, it doesn’t change the fact that I have been truly hurt and scared about the events I have painted. My goal is to cherish mistakes that have been made in our lifetimes and to document them in series of paintings which shows us how hilarious, sometimes sad and also fun life is with all its difficulties and obstacles. Where does the value of artwork hide? The value is in the truth, in openness without shame and in the ease. Presence, sincerity and laughter. These are just some of the qualities my paintings embody. With a firm stance, I have decided that my paintings will be my legacy to the great world filled with pain and also hope and love.
