About The Artwork
This oil painting was from a photograph which I took at the beach on Marco Island. It shows the waves which we usually see at all of our beaches. One can also see the reflections in the moving water and the smaller waves that intertwine throughout the painting. The sand as well as the reflection of the water and the light shows through in the lower third of the painting. The painting continues around the four sides of the canvas.

Creating colorful paintings is what I love to do. I use a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastels. I have been painting for almost twenty years, and am very active in our local art shows and events. Presently, I am taking classes from Marco Bronzini, who lives in Naples, FL. I live on Marco Island, FL and love painting scenes from this colorful and sunny paradise. Marco Island is located just south of Naples, FL on the Gulf of Mexico. Many of my pieces highlight the scenes and wildlife found here in southwest Florida, but I also enjoy creating abstract paintings which you can see on my website, www.carolynburger.com. I am actively involved with the Marco Island Foundation of the Arts, the Marco Island Center for the arts and Goodland Arts Alliance. Many visitors come to Marco Island, Florida each year for their vacations or to escape cold weather. My paintings can be found all over the United States and some in Europe. I hope to reach more art lovers through Saatchi Art.
