Talking about women Print

This work is inspired in true facts. Far away from the dessert and thousands of years later, most of the muslim women still cover their bodies and faces for the wrong reasons. The use of the burka has plenty negative effects for the health (body and mind) and it is never mentioned in the Coran as mandatory. I painted this to bring light into this matter, from a femenin perspective, continuing with Ayaan Hirsi personal fight: to update muslim religion in order to have a pacific living. My intention is kind, only with love and conciousness we can make a change, so I took care of the beauty that exists beyond every conflict. What I like of surrealism and symbology is that the answer or the concept depends on who's looking. I've heard many possibilities for this situation and it impressed me how creative we all are when we know there's something to discuss. I hope to help women all over the world to feel strong to talk about this and also to reivindicate freedom and the right to be natural. This painting is part of a serie.
