Tetris is a very famous classic game that everyone would have once played in their lives. In the world of Tetris, seven different pieces fall down from the top without a known order. The falling speed of the Tetris pieces becomes faster as time goes on and as your level goes up and you eventually face game over in the end with pieces piled up like a tower because you were not able to put the pieces together. It made me think that this game is very much similar to the society that I am living in right now. The world in which we ought to do a lot of assignments in a short period of time, obtain results, live in competitions and accomplish various missions by increasing the level with whatever it takes. Precisely speaking, you exist in that world. Then, what kind of person are you? Some people say that you are a “warmhearted person with kindness” and some people say that you are a “narrow-minded person who does not seem to be able to have conversations with”. Some people say that you are a “cute person” and some people say that you are a “tough guy”. Strangely enough, partial evaluations are made on you and you eventually go through “transformation” at that short moment when various attentions (except your own), such as the clothes that you are wearing for the day, hairstyle, the change of facial expressions based on your mood or feelings, the way of talking, attitudes, even the car that you are driving, academic ability and annual income, reach other people. Before you knew it, you have now become a perfect square through transforming yourself with other peoples’ attention on you. However, the transformation has not come to an end yet. It is because this space is a space within the Tetris game and you are the Tetris pieces. Each piece may exist as a work of art or may also create a single Tetris piece by combing the four pieces. And it ‘may’ transform into a Tetris piece of a different shape.
