ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was what I call a "happy accident" as I was painting over a canvas that I started something else on. The gold "cracks" just happened to be the perfect space to create a feeling of light, and balance. I hope viewers feel the simplicity of the composition, and that life will always come back into balance, no matter how far off course it feels.

Abstract painting is a way to find balance and harmony, through color, and composition, and trust. I begin a painting with no idea how it will evolve. I find joy in the simple experience of colors vibrating together, shapes beginning to find harmony with each other, and finally, a sense of the painting beginning to "sing" to me.
