Curious why two titles? It's a funny story. :) I paint abstract art. I haven't really done any academia of art back in Italy, because I didn't believe in myself enough, therefore the people around me reflected that and discouraged me or acted in ways which impeded an earlier birth as an artist. But that was a good lesson. I took a long detour and I ended being an amazing (I believe it now!) self-taught painter with a non standard way at approaching painting and that makes my form of expression stand out. I am not good at painting all the veins of your right foot yet, but I can make your house explode with joy when you place a painting of mine on one of your walls. That I can do. I trained myself for that for a long time and now colors are my allies in this. We play together. We have fun. And that's, after all what all should do. Aim at peace through joy. The meaning of the title connects to this state of life. Where you live at peace, in the flow, and in joy of being yourself, however you got here. However you got here, you are here! We are here! Celebration is a key word of transformation. We need to celebrate as soon as we can all the good we see. We need to say thanks for every atom of joy which surrounds and penetrates us. We should sweat drops of happiness, we should smile the new day, a good day for everyone. We should make peace with the dark, and look for the shine. We should see friends everywhere we go. Everything which has a light is precious, is my way of inverting the common old saying "Not everything that glitters is gold" by referring to the inner light of good things. Whenever you see that, you feel that light, you can feel safe, you can feel in the right place. Make you sure you look at the right time! So what's the second title about? Most of my friends love my art. They often pay a visit to my little art studio and they gaze, with open mouth and a wandering happy mind, how I can manage to put so many colours together on the same canvas. Then they tell me: "You must be so happy to paint this!" I tell them to name the things they see in the abstract shapes. And you would be surprised at how many different things different people see in them! A dear friend saw a bird. See right there, in the middle, slightly to the right a tiny yellow triangle? That is the beak point towards the rightside of the canvas. Then if you are careful enough you can follow the curves and the dense patches of acrylics and sense the presence of the rest of the little bird nesting there, in the heart of Joy. As usual I do pretty hardcore mixed media, and I use artist quality materials. By hard core mixed media it means that, for instance, in this canvas I applied: tempera, gold leaf, salt, gel medium, acrylics, gouache, inks, acrylics inks, graphic markers and it all stays beautifully and majestically well together!
