This painting evokes the story of Moses' startling encounter with the divine in the bush that was burning but not consumed. Implicit in this story is the invitation to pay attention, for it is possible to miss a quiet revelation in the person, tree or rock that is in plain sight. But it is there that we may experience the mysterious ‘I AM’.
