Oil on Hardboard Panel. This painting is from The Esalen Institute near Big Sur, CA. I got to visit Esalen once or twice a year throughout my youth because my aunt and uncle worked there. It is truly one of the most special places on earth, and I'm excited to be able to share it via paint. This is a little-known trail near the bridge, behind a gate. It looks as if you're not supposed to pass through it, but as far as I know, no one cares. From there it's a beautiful little path beside a stream. No one around, and nothing to hear but the babbling water. This painting will be an addition to your collection that will stay vibrant for many lifetimes to come due to the precautions taken before and during its production. It was painted on quadruple acrylic primed MDF, ensuring the surface will not degrade and will not be vulnerable to puncture damage. Only the finest professional grade archival oil paint was used. It is varnished by hand with archival and removable picture varnish, so that it can be cleaned easily without damaging the work.
