About work "The First" - a picture from the series "Kaluga-Mars" The series is dedicated to understanding the work of Tsiolkovsky, Soviet cosmonautics and its role in human life. It depicts the first satellite, the first sound from space. On October 4, 1957, the world's first satellite was launched into orbit. The space age has begun. Radio amateurs of all countries began their observations of signals coming from space. We began to listen to the first "answer" from the sky. A short signal in receivers in all corners of the globe gave a unique feeling of unity between all people, and for an atheistic state it gave a feeling that a person is something more than just flesh. Here is what contemporaries wrote about the launch of the first artificial satellite by the Soviet Union: "This is a great victory for man, which is a turning point in the history of civilization. Man is no longer chained to his planet."
