About The Artwork

Energy swirls around this mountain above the little village of La Grave in the Southern Alps. Known locally as The Goddess, she shows her two sides in this painting: the elegant postcard picture and the ferocious demon that has thrown people off her 50° slopes. Created in less than 6 hours at 2,200 metres in temperatures ranging from 0°C to -5°C. This poses unique challenges as acrylic freezes on the palette at this temperature.

I free creativity so we can all fulfill our true potential for profit, productivity and peace. Quantum leaps in profit and productivity come from moments of peace not the other way round. That's why I explore whether it's possible to find moments of peace in extreme conditions all over the world. I then apply the insights I learn from these experiences through artistic performances designed to free other people's creativity. An artist that paints I paint in extremes: from minus 10°C in Lapland to plus 40°C in Provence; from 2,400m in The Alps to a tropical storm on a beach in The Caribbean; from sunflowers in the rain to lavender in gale-force winds; from the middle of the night in Russia to the middle of a monastery in the snow. Every painting challenges me to find a moment of peace, for it is in these moments miracles occur. I am searching for the mystery of life itself, the alchemical energy that flows through everything we see and hear. I use acrylic, because it is water-based and thus adapts to every moment. The question is can I? Wherever I go, I take a canvas and easel. Every painting is completed in that moment. I have painted in the UK, Switzerland, France, Italy, Finland, The Netherlands, South Africa, Russia, Ukraine, Thailand and The Philippines. In 2013 I exhibited during ArtBasel, in New York, Seoul, Paris and Geneva. My paintings hang as far afield as Lyon and Lima, Manchester and Moscow, and DC and Delhi. An artist that films and guides My art extends beyond the canvas. Every painting is filmed so the moment of creation can be shared. And over the last 3 years I have guided over 1,000 people all over the world to experience a moment of peace through which they can free their creativity and profit from it. I believe this is the natural evolution of art. In the face of global challenges such as climate change, political revolutions and the financial crisis this is what each of us needs right now. To tackle these challenges requires creativity. The result is peace. Deep down we are not searching for money or happiness. We are searching for peace. Everything flows from this. And everything comes back to this. This is at the heart of everything I do. Part of the proceeds from my art go to an orphanage in Bhutan. All of us are born artists. My legacy is to ensure tomorrow's leaders retain their freedom so they can create a brighter future for all of us.
