In 2016 we lost someone who was by far one of the greatest champions in history. When I say that, I know that everyone knows about his career in the ring. Most know of his devout religious beliefs, and of course the controversy in was time of his decision and title. But what so many of us has no clue about was how deep his belief and faith ran. All of us know or probably have seen footage of one of his rants, or fights, or at least a knock out. But how many of us knew of his activism, and his passionate pursuit of peace and love across this world. Ali not only fought in the ring, but he took on a much greater fight out side of it. When he passed, numerous religious figures attended and spoke at his ceremony and funeral. That is when a large amount of this painting of Ali himself was painted. Presidents, rabbis, islamic leaders, an indian chief, A Monsignor, celebrities, sports figures, and a comedian just to name a few all spoke at his memorial. But it wasnt just about his illustrious career, or amazing record and escapades in the ring. It was about his undying faith and love toward his fellow men and woman of faith. It was a message of peace and love and constant help for those who he encountered. He life and achievements outside of the world of boxing was truly his greatest victory in this world. We will always remember the boxer.... let us never for one second forget the man. This was a 12 x 24 on canvas done in acrylic and metallics pigments. As-salāmu ʿalaykum
