About The Artwork
I was working with dark colours and decided to break out into more colour, but kept a black house coat for this pose. I went to a flea market to find a loud colour as a counter point. I saw a woman trying on these pink shoes. Luckily they didn't fit her and I snapped them up. Skin is very difficult but a challenge for artists.The opportunity to play off warm cool combinations and fresh, first touch,brushwork was important.
