ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I did this painting on Melbourne Cup Day in 2015. The Melbourne is the biggest horse race in Australia and is even a public holiday! I selected random images from the newspaper that day and so while most of the images relate to the horse race, there are a few random images as well. This includes a police .most wanted' poster and an add for men's liposuction! The winner of the race that day was called Red Cadeaux, when I painted the jockey he looked so dodgy that I thought that Red Cad was more appropriate!
