In "The Origin Story (Narrator)," I present the portrait of an Arab man I met in the Czech Republic who shared his personal story with me. As a migrant worker, he worked tirelessly to support his family back home, facing numerous challenges along the way. Through his resilience and determination, he became the narrator of his own story, one that speaks to the struggles and aspirations of many immigrants around the world. The portrait is rendered with a high level of detail and sensitivity, capturing the man's facial features, clothing, and expression. The warm colors and soft brushstrokes convey a sense of intimacy and empathy, inviting the viewer to engage with the subject on a deeper level. Through this painting, I hope to shed light on the experiences of migrants and challenge the stereotypes and prejudices often associated with them. By giving voice to their stories, we can build a more inclusive and compassionate society that recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, regardless of their background or status. In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere. Due to the OSB plate, these artworks are heavy. The painting is made with self-made paint, which consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints. The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only a few artists around the world work with wax on their own. The encaustic is equipped with a simple wooden exhibition frame, which harmonizes with the industrial style of the painting and highlights it well. Ready to hang!
