About The Artwork
Nearly 3 in 10 women (29%) and 1 in 10 men (10%) have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by a partner. 1 in 4 women (24.3%) and 1 in 7 men (13.8%) aged 18 and older have been victims of severe physical violence by an intimate partner. I also have suffered and have been once a statistic of domestic violence. This painting created by me that represents a violent and scary time of my life. But I thank God today for his guidance in escaping with my children from the hands of our abuser. I am happily married todst and my children now adults, we have been given a second chance .
