First of the master paintings of the great master Caravaggio. His paintings for the theatricality of the composition lend themselves to the exaltation of passions and emotions. This widens the context to a psychological level and allows us various interpretations. To not only make a faithful reproduction I played with the colors putting the various characters under a different light... I also played with the original title. Sacrifice from the Latin 'Sacrum Facere' literally means to accomplish something that is transcendent, spiritual. For me this is represented by Abraham who must struggle with the "2 other" part of himself. Oil on Canvas 50x70x2cm
