This painting which is Oil Canvas Board, it is a small postcard painting, the fifth in a series investigating scale of painting, whilst still continuing on researching human activities within social spaces. The Slide continues on from a study of consumerist social space and technology but instead of a simulated space now the space is natural. This series is the start of a more expressionist move in my work, i am exploring the way the paint can transfer the emotive power i feel from the starting image. The small scale has a strong sense of boundaries in that i have to keep with in the confines of the perimeter.
