Series Title: The Other Side Painting Title: The Soul Burns Bright 100x100x4cm on stretched canvas This large portrait study in oil is one of six in my “The Other Side" series. The series is an expression of love and fear through portraiture. In each painting I touch on how we may allow these emotions direct how we interact, and how we can allow choices made based on these feelings can define us, even perhaps in the moment. The Soul Burns Bright' is a conversation about image, and seeing beyond the flesh tones we all wear and sometimes hide behind. It can be terrifying to be honest with ourselves and others; honest enough to say this is me without the guises we can become custom to. But when we do, we shine so bright and beautiful. Large original painting using professional Oil paints on starched studio canvas 100x100x4cm UV varnished to help protect against sunlight and everyday dirt and dust.
