This painting is a commemoration work on the hundredth anniversary of W.W.1.
Not all victims were fatalities, many survived with unseen wounds. A soldier tells his tale about the futility of man's historic quest to kill each other. One child takes notes written in blood, hoping to get his wings to become a bomber pilot. The black girl tapes the tale in disbelief. The young girl pay's heed, sat on her safe foundation, where everything in the garden is 'safe'. The Lion scull devouring the Human scull is a reference to the saying: the young men going over the top were so brave and their generals safe miles from the slaughter were ' Lions led by Donkeys'.
The Bob Dylan figure was a story teller who brought anti war songs to the public consciousness.
