Lou Gehrig's consecutive game streak of 2130 was a record that was thought to never be broken. And then it was, September 6th 1995, Cal Ripken Jr. played his 2131st game in a row. His streak would go and eventually end at 2632.That is just over 3 more seasons without missing a game. Definitely Unbreakable in this day and age. Both Gehrig and Ripken Jr. were two of the most talented players of all time. However, you can't help but wonder if Lou didn't become ill with what we know now as ALS. How much longer his streak could of gone on. I would also rank Gehrig in the top 5 all time for greatest hitters ever to play.
