About The Artwork

We accompany two young women staring at the sea, it's high tide, what will it bring? what will he take? They are full of expectations and dreams. Who will come this time? Is it destiny? The Republic of Venice or the Principality of Venice, also known as the Republic of Venice, is an ancient prehistoric and independent state with Venice as its capital. Also known as the Republic of San Marco and the State of Veneto, it is often referred to by the simple name Serenissima. This state included in the 18th century until its collapse, much of north-eastern Italy and Istria and Dalmatia, as well as numerous islands in the Adriatic and East Ionian Seas. At its maximum extension, in the period from the 13th to the 16th century, it included the Peloponnese, Crete and Cyprus, most of the Greek islands, as well as several cities and ports of the eastern Mediterranean.

In my work, I am interested in the relationship between social roles and intimate human needs. Cultural gender, age, religion, origin, family or social structure, and geopolitical situation entail specific expectations that a person faces. There is a need to make decisions or passivity. I believe that my paintings touch on this moment of internal uncertainty and indeterminacy, I show sympathy with confusion and foreboding, uncertainty and certainty, shame and boldness. Duality accompanies me constantly, and leaving cultural roles gives me the opportunity to look at the consequences.
