Armenia
I draw everything that leaves a mark on my memory. Women, alcohol, something else - or rather, not all of this. but how I remembered it, what "aftertaste" I have left. How a perfumer “hears” a smell, does not see lavender or sandalwood, but feels and visualizes. Everything is the same, just the opposite. ))) I see the picture, remember, digest, transform, draw. Therefore, I don't really like taking pictures. when you take a photo, it feels like you are splashing out memory and emotions from what you see in the photo. And the picture does not remain. I love bright colors. The colors of dusty heat, red and blue in all their shades (this is because of Samarkand) or because I am a latent schizo. Or an Armenian. I am not a professional artist. In the sense that I have no academic art education. I am completely self-taught. Genetic inheritance dictates to me to isolate beauty, whatever it may be, in the surrounding people, places, events. And fix it. The beauty of women, the beauty of nature, but mostly women. The manner of transmission (drawing) in a primitive, unfinished style took shape by itself. I do not like when everything is smooth. When the hair is parted clearly. When shaved so cleanly that you can see your reflection. When the drawing is harmonious and clear, when everything is smooth and beautiful, I feel bad. My drawings are about the buzz. It is most important. The beauty of a woman for a man is a buzz, a slightly altered consciousness with alcohol or not alcohol is a buzz. Being ironic about public morality is a thrill. To paint in Photoshop, so everyone thinks that this painting is a thrill. Drawings are born in series. Cycles. They all live together. Complement each other.
