About The Artwork

In executing this painting, I wanted to do it in a superficial and witty way and apparently so it turned out, however, I was very emotionally involved to the point of being myself the canvas on which, for the time of torture, in that limited space every brushstroke, every touch of color, the objects present, the characters depicted, each with their own ideals of thought, were inside me making me live dissonant states of mind, extreme situations of pure madness of the twisted human mind, to the point of annoying me and wanting to destroy the canvas as if to erase that moment. I had the will to continue, to face that situation, a victory, a "difficulty" overcome. In the fiction of shows, movies, comedies there are people who play other characters, from the past, present and even futuristic projections, in life situations in order to make us know or live, while sitting, emotions, that perhaps we avoid by will or choice in the present reality. For the most varied reasons, time, trust, fear, disappointments, deception, knowledge, money, age, judgment, shame.... So? what are we playing in the present? if it is, it looks like a long play! in several acts, buth bound to what? to get where? to salvation, freedom, evolution of the species, money, health, power, control, territory? In my opinion these aspects imply to inflict cruelty on each other, "strong on weak", "smart on ignorant", "rich on poor"....e insecurities on the beings that live there. As if there was only one supreme being in command of everything and everyone. Why employ so many resources, energy, time, money to put all this in place? Sometimes I wonder if it would ever be possible to narrate Love in all its forms, at least in the same amount as we narrate the opposite. I have a void ...how would we tell the story? I call it the torture time of the 21st century, conceived, written and directed by civilized beings, civilized being understood as living beings existing in a temporal epoch. Well, it sounds like the title of a movie, what do you say we stage it?... no! no! better not, otherwise it starts all over again! and it's two years. The end.

I am Franco Baldazzi, born in Florence and grew up in a normal family, finished the compulsory school I decide to leave because it is too rigid towards changes. So I decide to be self-taught, alternating painting with work and family life until 2015 when it emerges in an impetuous way the need to paint in color after a period of time defined comatose expressing myself with works "black". New life, new light and new works will appear in my mind always intuitive and attentive to the period we live. I am attentive and sensitive to the "fragility" of people being able to see in a few moments what they "normal" would not succeed in a lifetime.
