Unconditionally - to love, accept, forgive and apologise. We are born wanting to be loved unconditionally. Just as we were born. With all its messiness and chaos. With our loud screams and the sleepless nights they often bring. We hope to see THAT in the eyes of those closest to us - that you are wanted, you are seen, you are loved! As we grow up, we learn to accept everything that does not happen the way we want or expect. Because the world is far from being just the safe embrace of Mum or Dad or the walls of a cosy home. It's full of things that are alien to you, that aren't the WAY things should be, that make you sad or make you cringe. As adults, we mostly learn to forgive. Sincerely and with feeling. Ultimately. And then it becomes easy to apologise too. And the more you think about life, the more you realise how many conditions it contains - the ones we put on ourselves and the ones we put on others, and often on ourselves. And that this is where we need to start - to embrace ourselves gently, to be able to accept ourselves as we are, to forgive and apologise. Simply to love. Without conditions.
