"Unforgivable blackness" Print

After reading the book and watching the documentary "Unforgivable blackness", and the autobiography -"my life and stories" by Jack Johnson "the Galveston giant" i made a portrait of him. This guy was a true example of how to live and thrive amidst hatred, hostility and prejudice. His parents were former slaves and he couldn't afford to pay a boxing trainer so he learned the trade by offering himself as a sparking partner to professional fighters....he fought in front of drunken hostile crowds who weren't used to see a white fighter being beaten by a black fighter.... He frequented and married white women regardless of their social status as prostitutes or former prostitutes and this was at an era when the blacks were being punished just for looking at white women. He wasn't revolutionary neither didn't gave a damp about blacks rights exetera but lived he's live on his own terms regardless of social norms. A true character.
