About The Artwork

Uroboros - an ancient Egyptian and Greek symbol of a snake with a tail in its mouth that constantly devours itself and is reborn. It expresses the spiritual and physical unity of all things that will never fade and will endlessly in the form of continuous destruction and rebirth. It is a symbol of infinity, eternal return and unification of opposites (coincidentia oppositorum or coniunctio oppositorum). The snake biting its own tail indicates that the end in the process of eternal repetition corresponds to the beginning. Dragon - symbols of authority and power, associated with the sun and royal symbolism. It is an allegory of knowledge, wisdom, vigilance and good guard.

In my work, I use symbolism, symbols and knowledge about it, from the known beginnings of humanity, all over the globe. Symbols are very important to me. Each image is composed and thought out to the smallest detail. Every detail matters and was used on purpose, also the place where it appears in the painting is not accidental. Each painting is therefore a story, a riddle, a rebus. It arises outside the mind and appears in vision. For myself, this is often an intriguing mystery that I am trying to unravel. Why? From where? I look inside myself. For what? What does it mean? I study symbolism, psychology and ancient history trying to find the information I need. I expand my knowledge myself, thanks to what I 'see' and what the logical mind cannot understand yet. This is how images are made. The rest is a craft, although it happens that in the course of work I make changes, which later, of course, are also subject to the investigation of the logical mind and, interestingly, I find the answer in symbols.
