About The Artwork
I was inspired by Venus Anadyomene (the birth of Venus) by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres to propose a current version. It is an academy decorated with stylized motifs on the body that I was forced to put in order to expose this painting in a public place. This idea of motifs on painted in bodies came to escape censorship. I was very angry about this constraint but I decided to make it a strength and play more with it.
