I find inspiration through traveling and observing landscape. I document my homes, study man's interaction with nature and observe artificial realities in a paradise I seek. With the personal experience of vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and living with a pool in Vermont I am inclined to document a romanticized version of the land near and far from me. I use the combination of a past sublime ideal of landscape with a current view of a deteriorating world void of sincere identity. Through my work I struggle to find an identity in the mundane, remnants, memories, and stereotyped ideals of where I live and where I long to be.
