About The Artwork

In memory of the Mexican women who fought for independence (1810 -1821) from Spain. Knowing our past is a necessity and a duty. As citizens we must do everything possible so that future generations have the basis to know their origin and thus strengthen their national and cultural identity. To know about our past, to understand how the society that brought us here was, the values and the reasons that guided its protagonists for the decisions they made, that understanding will give us an open attitude to want to know more, investigate more and each one on an individual level, culturally enrich ourselves with the truth of history always at hand and present. This is Magic Surrealism. I always try to bring out the character, strength and tenacity of women. I used the paper for the eyes, with texts seeking to reflect how much seen and how much story to tell. This is a collectible painting.

"Art is still a powerful connection to how we express our thoughts and ideas, being a protagonist and source of unpredictable imagination. It opens the door to other worlds, other ways of thinking or simply connects you with something of yours, in the most unexpected way". The passion for colors and painting is something that I practice from a young age. A little inculcated by my mother and a little from all the traveling; submerging myself into various and completely different cultures. I come from a cradle swinged by the loving arms of a Spanish mother and an Italian father. From a home where the main value is the family and the admiration for the beauty of things found in what is usually taken for granted or unappreciated. A home where to speak with words is not enough. Where the eyes, the hands, the heart and the intonation of the voice mark the difference and reveal origins. A simple painting filled with color, patterns, expression and most of all, emotions. A painting that tries to collect perhaps the past lives or the magical cultures which inspire me in such way, leading to the creation of this type of artwork.
