Visions of self Print

This painting shows the 3 parts of a person's personality that I felt most when I painted this: masculine, feminine and shadow. I painted this live at a rooftop café on a Sunday afternoon. That entire week I spent time looking for signs and signals of why I felt such resent in my heart. I realized I had been following my masculine energy all this time when I need to be in my feminine. I was going after things, people, and opportunities when I should wait and allow the right things to come to me. I realized I need to get better at receiving. And I also realized that I need to accept my shadow self. I have not been having fun and pleasure because I was too careful and didn't think I deserved it. So I painted this live, to allow people to see my work and accept their compliments and truly felt powerful. I used my masculine to time the painting and record the process. And I learned to accept my shadow self, my dark desire to perform for people and let them fantasize about me. This is isn't as detailed as my other works and a lot more rough as I made this in 5 hours. I used the colors that came to me intuitively then. I used turquoise because I felt really fresh to be painting on a rooftop.
