About The Artwork
I like to paint on Hannemuhl Bamboo paper as it is very hard wearing, it takes a lot of layers and scrubbing out. I was experimenting with materials and the end result reminded me of a rough seascape. Viewers may see something else which is fine. I like people to make up their own minds, my thinking is that a picture tells half the story, the viewer can make up the rest.

The oil paintings are more still and atmospheric owing to the nature of the material, whereas the watercolur paintings are more spontaneous.
