About The Artwork

The art of painting after the rapid development of cinema could not be without change, having mastered some of the techniques of cinema. So, in Oleg Mingalev’s picture, the character who plays the clown painted as a bronze sculpture is shown in three phases, different turns of the figure. And in the finale, like a miracle or a gift, in his hands in rough working gloves is a beautiful blonde in the flesh, who once in the mid-90s in London could be seen on an advertisement - a sex business card in a red telephone box. Why is the author inviting to Kiev? Because mores roam the cities. The combination of pointillism with hyper realism creates an incredible effect of a turbulent image, outwardly static, but charged with dynamics and energy of a parallel art form - namely, cinema. Actually, the whole movie scene is here, in the painting. What is more important - the background in the spirit of pointillism or the figures that the author fished out while walking along La Rambla in Barcelona, because the picture is essentially documentary. And the fact that it was later exhibited in Kiev is no accident. The fashion for the actors on the street to paint in bronze or silver paint soon migrated to Ukraine. Truly, art has no limits as well as admiration for beauty.
