Ce tableau fait suite à une discussion politique au cours d'un diner que j'ai eu à Lyon en 1981 avec Joseph Beuys. Notre sujet de discussion portait sur les viols politiques que l'on demandait aux artistes d'aller voir pour leurs carrières. Et donc par la suite, cette incapacité à transmettre le savoir, l'art aux nouvelles générations. Etant donner que le jeu est biaisé à la racine. Le lièvre représente la nouvelle génération, il est mort !
