About The Artwork

Watercolor is the best medium for me to express one's calm emotional state. This watercolor depicts a well-known phrase "Eyes are windows to the soul". The kid's eyes allude his or her emotional state even through a glass window; so, this work takes the viewer's mind and memory back to another time and space with its mastic atmosphere. It conveys a place for one to escape from the busy hustle and bustle of everyday-life surrounded and filled with contemporary technologies. It is hoped that this watercolor piece also illustrates the beauty of quiet moments as a vital emotional state to one's life. Arches watercolor paper (140 Lb.) is used and 1" 7/8 inch boarder around the image on the paper, so a floating frame will be suitable.
