There are several beaches around Clearwater - Caledesi Island, Clearwater Beach, Sand Key, Honeymoon Island. Caledesi is a magical place with bright green gulf water, shipwrecks for diving and hundreds of types of birds. This painting was done ala-prima on a sunny quiet afternoon. I tried to capture the feeling of the waves lapping up against the brown sugar sand.
