I was remembering what it's like to fly over the lush farmlands here in the Pacific Northwest. The quilted patterns of abutting crops and irrigations systems always surprise me with their palette and textures. Maybe it's the fate of being an urban dwelling artist , that I can only dream on working the land when I push paint around on the canvas board.
